Suckered you, but not your friends...

Political rant: on.

This is bothering me.

I'm not sure how to explain my political position to the public (alliterations are fun). I'm not a complete Republican, I'm not a complete Democrat, and I'm sure as the dickens not an Independent or a Green Party member. I don't fit in anywhere, it seems.

I do, however, on the basis of religious beliefs, support my president no matter how dimwitted he may or may not seem, no matter how dumb the idea of war is, and no matter how much Dubya may look like a monkey. Respect it or not (you should), you cannot argue with the religious basis. That would be discrimination.

But this time, it may have gone too far.

On top of the however many hundreds of billions the war has already cost us (not to mention, as morbid as this sounds, the lives lost), tonight Dubya announced he will ask the Congress for mega additional funds, to the tune of 87 billion dollars.

Holy irreplaceable lives, Batman.

I love GW as much as the next guy (which might not be a whole lot, actually), but c'mon. This is getting ridiculous. I know that in my religion, we are taught to pray and stand behind our president, but this is bonkers. As Homestar would say..

Seriously.

I know that Boosh's presidency has not been an easy one. Clinton was good because the economy was crisp. Bush is looked down upon because the economy just so happened to take a nosedive before he took office, and then some national tragedy that people seem to have completely forgotten "happened".

But he should have at least revealed the undeniable proof of the existence of Iraqi WMD (the newest in trendy acronyms) BEFORE starting in on the whole "shock and awe" campaign.

I think I want to become a politician. But then again, my patience is running thin with the whole idea of democracy.

Let's all become Communists.

you make me feel obsolete...

eh heh heh heh...

On a lighter note, the coolest quote of the week:

(Saturday, at the open gym at my school)

JV Coach Reggie (which should give some indication to his race), talking to me: "You're not bigger than a minute, but when you're under the basket, you gotta play like a big man."

muhahahahaha...
